Founded in 1948, Fountain House is a self-improvement group that is managed by men and women who are recuperating from mental health illnesses in partnership with other professionals who are of sound mind. For instance, on Thursday, November 1, 2012, they held their 5th annual Fall FĂȘte, with the event’s primary goal being to introduce young professionals to the company’s mental health model. He said that the positive impact they had on these people’s lives were notable which inspired them to create the Associates Scholarship Fund. The aim of the fund was to award two scholarships to Fountain House members who could not complete their education due to mental illness.
